New Vision Does it Again: Weight Loss Challenge: $50,000 first Prize!

Wow, Ok where do I start? I’ve been struggling with my weight. Gotten very heavy in fact. This past summer I hit 299 pounds and it was a wake up call. I was actually losing some weight Up until Thanksgiving then I went binge nuts and gained part of it back. I had lost down to 278 pounds, and then gained back up to 287 pounds. We all know the yo yo bit in weight is not good for a person, ok.

Anyway I was working on goals, and looking around for an outside motivator for me. A bit of support and inspiration.

Well on January 3rd I popped into a conference call for New Vision. There was President BK Boreyko announcing the winners of the Weight Loss Challenge that had just wrapped up. I was a bit pissed at myself because I had planned on entering it and had not gotten my starting photos taken.

I was sitting at my desk listening to the names and stories of the winners. The 5th place winner lost 16 pounds for a $1500.00 prize, and it went up from there. The first place winner lost 47 pounds for a first place prize of $15,000.00. It was a 3 month contest.

After the winner’s were announced and congratulated BK Boreyko had another announcement. By this time I was feeling, more than a bit, pissed at myself for not being a part of this whole process. In truth feeling a bit sorry for myself as well. You know, the slumped over my desk, lip sticking out sulk bit.

Then my ears perked up, what was he saying?! Thankfully he repeated it, and I promptly went to the website to confirm. New Vision is running another weight loss challenge. It is running for 179 days from the start (the start date was Jan 3rd) with total prizes amounting to $100,000.00.

Ok I’m sitting up much straighter by this time. Remember; I was looking for inspiration. A bit of leverage to keep myself going, you know other than feeling better and looking better and so on. Frankly, Money is a very good method of inspiration for me. $50,000.00 for first prize, $20,000.00 for second prize and so on.

I have my starting point photos taken this time. No more hiding for me, I’m going for it. I figure I have as good as chance as anyone for that first prize, I wouldn’t turndown any of the prize money for that matter. Would you? At any rate I’ll be getting rid of some very unwanted fat. In time for that summer season.

The Holiday Fat Fanny Season is over. Oh come on, you know nearly everyone packs on some pounds over the holiday season. Whether it’s just a few or a truckload of lard. Why not get paid to lose the fat and feel better at the same time.

New Vision has excellent products; there is no question about that.

P. S. Here Is my Starting Point Info.

January 3rd 2008: My starting point Photos:

Weight: 287 pounds

Measurements:
Height: 5 foot 7 inches tall
Bicep: 14 ½ inches
Waist (at most narrow point: 41 ½ inches
Hip (at widest point): 57 inches
Upper Thigh: 35 inches
Calves: 19 ½ inches

Synopsis of Current Exercise Plan:
I am working towards walking ½ marathon by the end of May 2008.
Right now I am walking 1 km in the morning on my elliptical and a second km at night. Each week I’ll be adding 1 or 2 kms (kilometers) building to my goal distance. When I am in the longer distances I will be alternating longer days with shorter days.

I am using Oxycise to increase my lung capacity, as well as for stretching, ab work, and overall toning. It is an excellent isometric/isotonic workout. (The half marathon I’m going for is between 6000 and 8000 feet up and I live between 4000 feet and 5000 feet so increasing my lung capacity is a necessity to be able to do the distance at that altitude.)

Hip Hop Abs and Tae Bo are also coming into play… because they are excellent core workouts and I like them. I am pacing myself working my way into the routines. One step at a time.

As the weather warms up and my endurance and strength levels continue to increase I will be adding bow-flex to my routine. My bow flex is out in the quonset and there is no heat in there. Sorry but I’m not lifting in winter cold.

I do enough of that dragging 100 foot of hose, and feed through the snow. Not to mention unloading a half ton of feed at a time. One bag at a time. These bags go from 20 pounds up to 55 pounds depending on what kind of feed I’m unloading. Each of these bags are lifted at least twice during the unloading and storing process.

Working this ranch, and taking care of my dogs/kennels is part of my workout.

Synopsis of Current diet plan:
Breakfast: Mangosteen diet shake: (early morning) take cleanse/burn/balance capsules after breakfast & lunch

A.M. snack: any of the following:
Raw Carrots and dip
Raw Celery and dip or peanut butter
Raw fruit and cheese
No sugar no fat yogurt
Boiled egg and raw

Lunch: regular meal-just listen to my body and stop eating before over full.

Afternoon Snack:
Similar to A.M. snack… I am making a point of eating at least one piece of fruit a day and one salad a day.

Dinner/Supper: regular meal
Tonight for instance I’m having a salad, grilled mesquite chicken, and a grilled potato

Evening Snack.
Usually a glass of milk 6 or 8 crackers with a bit of peanut butter… the biggest thing is to ask myself/yourself if you are actually hungry or if you are reaching for food for some other reason. Boredom for instance, upset depression, anger, and habit… whatever reason…

I am keeping a food journal, writing down everything I eat.

How am I feeling about all this:
Excited, determined, hopeful, and scared senseless. Change, no matter how beneficial is always unsettling for me. Then there is always the fear that no matter what I do, how much I follow through that I’ll fail, or quit and go hide. This frankly, is the ultimate failure. Fear aside, I’m going for it. I was at my heaviest last summer; and it made it an absolutely miserable season. The extra body mass made every movement an extra effort resulting in exhaustion and incomplete projects. Horrible heat rashes and gald.

I refuse to live this way. Since, Lord willing, I will be living for some years yet, it falls to getting this fat off my body. Not only getting the fat off my body, but doing it in a healthy manner. Another goal is to build muscle mass and endurance, so an active day is a pleasure rather than abject torture.

I took a real good look at the photos I had my husband take for my starting point photos. There I was standing there in my sports bra top and a pair of Capri leggings. Front View, Side View, Back View; I had him take a couple photos of each position. Wow, those photos leave no fat bulge undetected. I put them on my computer and really looked them over. There is actually a fat roll on the base of my neck on my back. Truthfully I was surprised to see that. I looked and I looked. I studied the bulges, rolls, dimples, saddlebags, and mounds of fat hanging on my body. All this stuff, making my heart work harder, my joints and muscles hurt, stretching my skin out is on its way off my body.

I’m not embarrassed by my body, I like myself just fine. However; carrying this amount of fat is not healthy, and it is reducing the quality of my life.

I want this excess fat off my body. However; I refuse to remove it in an unhealthy manner. My overall goal is to get healthy!

New Vision is a big part of this goal. The New Vision Nutrition Program Plus is a huge part of my body’s recovery from West Nile Virus and 2 major surgeries.

I was nearly in a body bag a couple of times. However; I am still here, 2 years out from the last major surgery. Two years of steady recovery; not only from the reason for the surgery, but from the damage done to my abdominal muscles by the surgery itself.

When I came home from the hospital, I was unable to sit up by myself. I couldn’t take care of my kennels; I couldn’t even lift my coffee pot.

To say this was frustrating would be the understatement of the century. I have managed to slowly build my strength without rupturing. That has been a major accomplishment in itself, considering the outside incision reaches from my navel to bikini line. Happily that exterior scar is healing flat not gathered. I know New Vision is a big part of that as well.

Here is a little perspective to the loss of strength, before I got sick I could leg press 350 pounds. I was also capable of dead-lifting a rail road tie and walking off with it. I am on my way back up to that strength level, one day one step at a time. Being aware so I don’t rupture my abdominals, or other parts of my healing body. But I’m on my way, and I want this lard off my body.

I have no desire to be a weak skinny bobble head doll. I do have the desire (and will) to be an athletic person that can do a century ride on a bicycle and enjoy the process.

My Opinion of the New Vision Diet System and It’s Products.

I like it or I wouldn’t be using it no matter how much the prize money was. When I drink a shake for breakfast I am satisfied. No longer hungry. I don’t buzz then crash with this. I seem to be keeping a consistent energy level all morning. My breakfast is usually between 5:00 and 6:00 in the morning.

The shake keeps me pretty satisfied until around 9:30 or 10:00. Then it’s an apple and a bit of cheese and I’m good till lunch, around 12:00 or 1:00.

I’ve been taking the cleanse, burn, and balance supplement that comes with the diet after breakfast and lunch. Happily, I’ve had no jitters or nervousness at all. Just a nice consistent energy level. Excellent ingredients.

I usually take the calcium chewables (chocolate malt flavor) in the afternoon, or evening.

The additional calcium and magnesium in these two products is important while losing weight.
I really like it that the M2 Nutrition Program or Forte is included in the diet package, depending on which one you go with. I believe this is an effective healthy way to increase weight loss and fitness.
